Do they talk?

Thor talks if you talk "baby talk" to him. Arabella has a different voice. She kind of has this pirate type "aaaaarrrgghhh" thing she does when she wants you to play with her. She'll just go " aaarrgghh, aaarrgghh, aaarrgghh" on and on. We had someone come over to appraise our house about a month ago and as he was getting ready to leave, without playing with Arabella (In her mind that is just rude. ), she started in with her "aaarrgghh"'s. The man looked down at her and then asked me if I was going to tell my dog to stop growling at him. I had to explain that was boxer speak for "play with me" and that a growl was much more ferocious. He just shrugged and said "Oh...really?"

Napoleon will talk your ear off when you first get home...
He does this little dance with it, so you can not ignore him, when you try to walk away, he gets in front of you and starts dancing again.


They are so funny... full of personality!
I wouldn't have it any other way.

What amazed me was not so much that she talked back to me when I told her to do something she probably didnt want to do, but the fact that I sat there and had a conversation with her over it. Telling her little girl you better quit talkin back to me! Yeah like that works. She still talks a little bit now but not as much. But she will not be ignored when she wants to play or have your attention. Like right now as i'm typing she's giving me the Jedi mind trick stare.... And of course I look at her and ask her what she wants like an idiot. My fiance and I decided from the beginning that we didn't want children, who would have known that we'd end up with a furry one anyway.

Punchinella talks. She does it more so first thing in the morning when she is first getting up and making her rounds. She also talks to get your attention when she wants you to play with her toys with her. For treats she will say momma (or something that sounds like momma which is how I interpret it)

The Singing Boxer Dog is my absolute favorite video. I laugh every time until I cry. Hilarious. Sadly, Cornelius doesn't talk ... yet. I'm still hopeful.

whew... it is nice to know Jasper isn't the only one!! funny thing though, he argues only with my wife.. they can go back and forth for half an hour!! it is hilarious
