We got our new baby Rayna on Saturday. She is 10 weeks old and just the sweetest. I have been working on crate training. That is going quite well compared to some posts I have been reading. I knew to expect the barking and whining and I fully expected it to go in for hours on end, it hasn’t to my relief. Now, don’t get me wrong she does do all of that just not for hours. At night when all the lights are off, I play instrumental music for her and drape a towel over the front of her crate and she settles down in just a few minutes. We only have to go out once maybe twice during the night. Here is the thing if I can’t be in the room with her she goes into the crate all things the same as the night, but on occasion she throw a real temper tantrum. There’s barking, growling, whining, and after about 20 minutes or so she wares herself out and goes to sleep. When I go to get her out there is foamy slobber on the crate door and drool in puddles on the floor of the crate, she is wet and slimyfrom laying in the stuff. If I put a towel in with her then it is wet. Has anyone else had this happen? I know not to let her out or talk to her or anything while she is doing this. I’m just curious.
