The black tarry poop and vomit is digested blood. That probably means the cancer is in the intestines. I'm sorry to hear about what you are going through.
Just thought I'd let you know that your old vet can run a CBC and full Profile in house, they make machines that do them and read them out for you. They don't give as much info as a lab does, but they are pretty accurate. And, sometimes you can see through the fluid if the mass has grown large enough, plus if you take chest x-rays you can see if the fluid is originating in the chest or the abdomen to narrow it down.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

My beloved companion was laid to rest yesturday. My heart breakes without her. I can't stop crying. I will miss everything about her more then anyone will ever know. She has been the calm at the end of the day.
