Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's Tocopherol that's important that has vitamin E activity and I can see that these fish oil capsules have Tocopherol in their ingredients.

I was originally going to get Grizzly Salmon Oil All-Natural Dog Food Supplement, until a friend told me he's been giving his dogs the costco pills and he's seen great results from it.

My puppy will actually eat the pill without putting anything on it at all. She bites into it and likes the taste of fish oil, so she'll end up eating the entire pill, so it's been really easy to give it to her.

I give the same fish oil capsules to my dogs and take them myself, and I've been told by 3 holistic vets as well as my regular vet, internal medicine specialist, and my own doctor as I take them myself that Vitamin E really needs to be given at minimum 3 times a week with them.

I just throw them into the food bowls when they eat nd they eat them, don't pill either of my dogs they eat their pills in their food bowls without issue. My girl takes approximately 18 pills a day between RX and supplements, my boy takes 6 a day in supplements.

I'll look at picking up some vitamin E pills. Is there a recommended dosage per body weight?

I get mine at Costco and throw in (1) 400 IU capsule daily in the AM. (1) 400 IU capsule is just fine, and I get a thing of like 500 capsules for $8 and change at Costco.

Why do you give the vitamin E with the fish oil? I didn't know about that.

Also, don't let your vet tell you what to do. I know it's hard. I actually just left a vet because he waned to use a small amount of ACE for Tyson's tattoo. I told him no way. He argued with me.
I went to the animal hospital, and they didn't use any ace, and marked his chart in big letters.
Arm yourself with tons of information, and when you go to the vet, you'll have it. They may not like it, but oh well. ;) Remember, you pay him.
I'm so glad your baby is doing better. The pictures look so much better!!

There's multiple reasons. One of them is that it keeps the fish oil from oxidizing(sp?) also that fish oil lessens your ability to absorb vitamin E so you supplement with additional so you do not end up with a dificiency. There's a few other reasons as well. If you do a Google search or speak with your doctor they can give you the whole "low down" or you can read up on it but IMO those were the 2 biggest and most important reasons.

That's where I'm confused, what is the Tocopherol in there for then? Or is it just not enough, because I'm still no clear on adding the vitamin E. It makes sense if the last ingredient didn't say Tocopherol, but I'm guessing the suggestion is that there isn't enough?

Also all premium foods are 100% returnable, so if you decide to go with Orijen or something grain free for your pup that is all life stages you can always return the regular Wellness.

I forgot that it's returnable, I'm going to go to the place and see if they have Orijen, because I keep hearing good things about it.

Is it typical that their hair continues to fall out even when the bumps are disappearing? It seems as if almost all the bumps around her body are disappearing, but she has a little bit of black skin in certain areas and her hair seems to still be thinning out. When I move my hands around her body I can't feel many bumps at all. Her head is still pretty much bald and there's black dark bumps as I shown in the picture, but her body looks a billion times better.

I just felt it was weird that her hair is still thinning even though all the bumps have really gone away.

I think it was mentioned earlier that even though her skin may be getting better, the hair will continue to fall out for a bit longer. It has to do with the damaged hair follicles. I'm glad she's doing better finally. At least it's summer and she's not cold. Still sending some healing vibes your way.
