Dante is now 10 years old

Yesterday was Dante's birthday! If he is still alive he would now be 10 years old. My heart is still broken. I wish I knew what happened to him. The unknowing is killing me.

Every time I hear of a dog missing, I always think of you :(

I can't even imagine that type of pain. I lost a cat many years ago for 10 days. It was excruciating not knowing. We did find her, Thank God but never finding would be a different type of unimaginable torture.

Happy Birthday Dante, wherever you are!

I lost Star for about 20 minutes on a trail. She had tags on, but I has just changed my phone number and her tags weren't current. I was frantic. I can't imagine never knowing.

It's been tough! It's the not knowing that is killing me. There are times that I wish he was dead and happily playing at the Rainbow Bridge. I will just never know, unless by some miracle he comes home.

Today he would be 11 years old. He was always a healthy dog, but I think it is unlikely that he is still alive. :( There are a lot of stolen dogs in Manitoba. They are most likely being stole by dog fighting rings. If that was his fate, I hope he died quickly. He was the most gentle soul without a mean bone in the body. My heart is still broken and I will never forget him. Rest in peace Dante. I loved you!

Yes I was always quick to tell anyone who asked that Boxers might somewhat resemble Pitts but they were definitely not fighting dogs. That was to discourage dog theft.

Boxers canines do not line up. They are typically gapped about 3/4 of an inch. They can’t cut or have scissor action. Consequently they don’t do much damage when they bite compared to shepherds, pits etc.
To top that, they usually do not have a kill instinct or drive. Yes they are not fighting dogs.
