I'm so sorry

We just had to put our Nikki to sleep. She was 9 and had cancer. Surgery was not an option. We are glad she never felt pain or suffered. I can understand the pain you are feeling. My prayers are with you and yoru family. Everything will work out the way it will. Keep posting on this board as the family here is a great one for support.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. It's difficult, because I'm at school and Cookie is with my parents, but they said she's having a good day today.

I'm a veterinary student, only five months away from graduation. I think this makes everything scarier, in a way, because I tend to imagine worst-case scenarios. Fortunately, I was able to speak with one of the oncologists at my hospital today, and she gave me the okay to bring Cookie in as soon as she's strong enough after surgery. They said they'll make room in the schedule for her, and try to make it so she can spend as much time at home as possible during her treatments.

I do appreciate the good thoughts. I'll pass along to my uncle your thoughts for Daisy. He's really taking the loss hard, even more so now with the bad news about Cookie.

My heart goes out to you & your uncle on the loss of Daisy!! When you lose a beloved boxer, they take a piece of your heart with them. I'm terribly sorry to hear about Cookie, we all remain optimistic for her in that she will have many happy days ahead of her. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss of Daisy...perhaps she knew Cookie was in need of a guardian angel during her time of need and went quickly to help. Your whole family and Cookie are in my prayers.

I am sorry t hear about Daisy, I had to help my 5 1/2 year old boy to the bridge in July due to Alimentary Lymphoma. It was devastating. I hope Cookie does well, sounds as though she is in great hands. We are sending many healing vibes and sloppy boxer kisses her way.
