Cyrus was attacked last night

I heard this terrible commotion outside about 9:30 pm. I could hear a man yelling, and the horrible sounds of dogs fighting and yelping. I rushed out onto my deck and yelled what the h@#$ is going on?!??" I see a man pulling a huge husky mix, and a medium brown dog off Cyrus!!!! (there were two other dogs with him as well) I yell at him to get his dogs off my driveway, and is my dog OK?? He just walks away, and calls over his shoulder "your dog is fine". We called Cy inside, and he was bleeding from several bites on his face and one ear. :( We cleaned him up, and luckily, none of the bites seem too bad/deep.
He has a little bit of swelling on the top of his nose this morning, and the other places are scabbing over nicely. We called the vet who said to watch the marks, and if they get worse bring him in.
Is it too much to expect that my dog won't be attacked in his own yard??!? (He is incredibly dog-friendly.)
One good thing...this guy was visiting my neighbor, so he will go home soon and take those mean dogs with him.
I have to admit, it wasn't the best Thanksgiving. :(

Yes, he was walking four dogs off leash! We had just let Cy out to go potty, and had no idea this man was outside. I have never heard/seen dogs fighting before, and I must say, it is really scary. Huge difference from the growls he makes when playing. (Of course, my dog was the one yelping.)
Cyrus says thanks for the healing vibes. He is enjoying all the extra attention, and leftover turkey.

Poor Cyrus! I'm glad he is doing well. It is scary when dogs fight. I would check to make sure this guys dogs are up to date with their shots. There shouldn't be a problem as long as Cyrus is, but it would good to know just in case there is a problem. Sending lots of happy healthy ((vibes)) to Cyrus!

Update

Cy is doing much better today. The swelling on his nose has gone down. The cut on his ear looks just like a red scratch now.
We took him to the pet store, where he made friends with a lab mix. So no fear of meeting new dogs thank goodness.

Oh no poor Cyrus and poor you too. I cant imagine what that must have been like for the 2 of u. That guy is some jerk!! The nerve to just walk away and not check was ur baby ok!

I hope Cyrus gets better soon and all his cuts heal. The poor baby.x

OMG, just read this. Yikes, walking 4 not so friendly dogs off leash, in an area new to them, and he isn't concerned about the dog they attack?!. Just unbelievable. Over and over again it amazes me how many inconsiderate idiots there are in the world.

Great to hear Cy is doing well physically and emotionally!
