I've been reading on Crate training, and it all sounds good and well, but I've got one question. Here is a quote from the FBR website that I found in a past thread...
Introduce your puppy or full-grown Boxer to the crate by initially leaving the crate door open for him to investigate, sniff, and go in and out on his own. We are talking a few days here, if you sense any apprehension on the dog's part.
Well, it says take a couple days for him to get used to the crate...what do you do in the mean time when you are gone? Placing him in the crate seems the only way. Or should I pen him up in the kitchen or bathroom or something? That sure doesnt seem like a good idea...
