Oh he was a real sweetie pie.
Just a perfect gentleman.

This is what he looked like the day I brought him home ... the day after Christmas ... his first meal of Chicken and Rice stew (which I just happened to have cooking on the stove...). Two days before I had NO idea I was going to get a dog. My #3 cat (and the oldest) had passed the week before and I was planning on having fewer pets because I knew I was going to move sooner or later ... LOL.

He loved our cat.

And he loved his boxer friends.

He would go everywhere with us.

Ok... I'm getting carried away now. He was a great dog. And I was only privileged to have him for a couple of years (hemangiosarcoma). But I am so glad he was able to finish out his life with us. One day - when I have fewer financial issues - I am going to always have at least one senior pet in the household. If I don't have one that I've had since it was a baby, then I'll just have to adopt a senior with no home. I just love the seniors and I hate to see them without security and love.

Sorry - didn't mean to side track your thread. :)
But maybe you can convince your Hubby to adopt an older boxer once you have those two puppies tearing around and you need another, older, calmer dog to settle them down and teach them a few manners. Hahahaha!

Now THERE is a good plan.

Then you'd have THREE boxers! A perfect number. :D

No side tracking here, makes me get a little emotional too see how he started then his great life :) what a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing that. I really want to rescue so so badly, every time I see things like that even more so! What a sweet boy. .... yeah don't know about 3 boxers!!! Although I would love a house full of boxers, I'm afraid I would have no sleeping space in my bed lol!!!

She's so cute in the box!

Three boxers are great! However, the bed space is definitely something to think about. Some mornings when we wake up, we have all three in bed with us. We've said for about a year now that we are going to upsize to a king but haven't yet. If I didn't have the pet stairs on my side to prop my feet on, I'd end up in the floor a lot.

This is soooooo stinking cute. It made me laugh out loud. Puppy's (especially boxer ) are just so sweet and funny. I would have loved to see her circling and settling in this basket.

hahaha, soooo cute! if it makes you feel any better, i got thora a big fancy expensive bed for christmas too and the only way i can get her to lay on it is if i put it in front of the fire. DH falls asleep on it more than the dog!

Well we "upgraded" her toy basket and she did the same thing again lol....I've been debating posting it because her in a second basket looks like I've staged this puppy...I have not lol...She just apparently really likes her baskets....lol
