Couch Selection

Sofa and loveseat are leather. The boxer chair is fabric (always covered by a blanket). All have held up really well. If you go with leather, make it a darker color. It all cleans up really well, but the lighter colors do show the dirt more.
Downside to leather is that you stick to it in warmer weather....so we end up covering the cushions anyway.

Well we brought home a couch yesterday. here is the one that we bought:

We just got the couch part, but will eventually try to get the rest of the pieces. Its microsuede with vinyl. We wont be testing it out with the dog until we get married in July, so hopefully it will hold up well.

make it leather

Leather and slobber are ok together, you can just wipe slobber off. Also if a scratch gets on it, you can buff it out. We have a top grade leather couch from American Leather and are really happy with it. It is about 7 years old and we let dogs on it all the time. It is not just starting to look a little 'old'. Maybe it will last another year or two. Get a good grade leather and a dark color - no worries about stains.
