Cool new toy!

My puppy loves squeaky toys (Sid has never been able to figure out what to do with toys- he prefers to make up his own games), and I found a new one yesterday. It is in the shape of a saxophone, plush, and when you press the squeaky place, it plays a couple of bars of a sax solo! They had a violin, both acoustic and electric guitars, and a trumpet, but I like the sax best.
The puppy does not like the sound that it makes, so he's made a game of seeing how hard he can play with it without setting it off. He also likes it when I pick it up, squeeze it, then put it down. He grabs it, and races into the living room to put it next to the stereo. This happens to be the same interval of time that the toy plays, but the puppy is convinced that he has to put it by the stereo to shut it off
I got mine at a store called Trader Joe's, but I imagine that they probably have them at Petsmart or Petco too.

That's too funny! Markus loves squeaky toys too, but they never squeak for long as he is too rough with them.

I just discovered the doggy toys at Trader Joe's! They have some cool squeeky toys and I just bought Ruby a leopard- print doughnut toy that squeeks. I noticed too that Trader Joe's toys are priced pretty low.

I'm glad that you went and bought Sid a new toy to keep him occupied while "Mommy" is busy on the computer! How cute! I don't buy Vera toys too often, she would rather play with her old scrub brush that she dug out of a box of junk when she was a puppy. She has one of those ropes with the knots on the ends, and tennis balls are her favorite.

Speaking of good toys, I got my boys one of those balls that lights up when it moves. They absolutely love it, especially Tobee. I throw it down the hall and chase it. then he picks it up, drops it (so it lights up) and plays soccer with it. It is so cool whn he has it in his mouth whilt it is glowing.

Draco too loves his squeaky toys--at the moment his favorite toy is the one I got from a garage sale for 50 cents

My two also love the "light ball".... they do the same thing.... bat it around to make it light up. Aren't Boxers just the smartest most adorable dogs ever!!!!
