Great letter... well done!
Educating the public about the dangers of Backyard Breeders was also a good point.

Well Done ~Amanda

I got chills reading your letter it was perfect and I do hope the ignorant people read it. I just hope a light will go off. But unfortunatly I have learned that there is no arguing or changing their minds. They are the people who go through life angry and alone!
THey don't deserve the kidney-beaning-eye-gooping-mush-kissin-boxer-burnin-gas-machines to love them!

Congrats to you for writing the letter!

Great letter Sharon and Cindy !!!!

I hope it makes its way to Brampton, Ontario, as I have encountered many hatefull dog owners who have no idea what they are talking about....like the lady (if you can call her that) in Tim Hortons parking lot not to long ago !!!!!!

What a great letter - you made your point without stooping to the level of the insulting person. I'm picturing her at work, getting her coffee for break time and settling down with the paper :D Perhaps she also complained to co-workers about precious Xena and others will recognize her as the "insulting woman" IMO, if someone would verbally assault someone about their choice of pet this person should be in jail for a few days ;) - they're a danger to the public!!! Good job Sharon and Cindy beericon

Thanks everyone! Like I said, there was alot edited out, but what was published was simple and to the point.
Amanda...I thought the topic of viciousness was a good seguay for the BYB topic!;) I just had to slip that part in!
Laurie...it has made me feel very gratified and proud to have written this letter, knowing that I have made an effort to try to reach a few misguided people, and also for coming to the defense of all Boxers everywhere!:D I remember your recent encounter with that "woman" at Tim's...and I felt the anger and frustration you were feeling. Feel free to copy the letter...post it up at Tim's!!!:p

HAHA Barb, I was picturing the same thing (hoping anyway)!!:p I am sure she mouthed off to everybody she knows...ya can tell the type!;) I soooo agree with your comment about jail time...should be a mandatory 2 day sentence followed up with an 8wk course in Anger Management!! Verbal attacks can be just as frightening and intimidating as being physically attacked! I swear the next time it happens to me, I will call the police immediately and press charges! I am fed up and am not going to take anymore!!:D

Great letter!

It's funny, my husband was walking Baron the other day and a neighbor asked if he was a pit bull - I thought the guy was crazy because a boxer looks nothing like a pit bull to me

- why are they so commonly mistaken for them??

That letter is great. Awesome job on educating people. When I go out with my boxer, more often than not I get compliments and people seem to always know how good the boxer is with children, but I have had him mistaken for a pit bull. I was walking Oscar in D.C. the other day and some guy said "aww I love pit bulls", so I told him "if you love them so much, you would know that this is not a pit bull". Kudos to you for putting the info out there!!!!:D
