You know I'd also get a good picture of a white pit and a brown one and carry a picture of your dogs to explain the differences! Someone gave me a birthday card that had a police lineup of different breeds on it and next to the flshy fawn Boxer was a fawn/white pit. I keep it with me now when the idiots pop up. Wow! Im glad everything worked out for you and Carsy in the end, but you should have never had to go through that. I would hope that the mayor reprimanded her for her poor customer service skills and stupidity. If you have the time one day, I would suggest writing a letter to your city council explaining the entire situation. Even though they probably won't do anything to your town clerk, atleast it will be brought to their attention and maybe it will prevent it from happening to someone else. This B**CH should realize that your tax dollars are paying her salary! Glad you stuck your ground and put that WITCH in her place...maybe she'll think twice before messing with a boxer mommy again

I walked into the vets office with carson and echo (in all honestly if either of my babies were to be confused with a pit it would be carson just for the fact that he's white) and an older gentleman said "ohh look sweetheart, another one of your kind" he was speaking to another persons doggie..a full bred AmStaff. This man is looking right AT the Staffy and my pups and he still thinks they are the same breed?? I cannot see how people believe Boxers and a Pit, AmStaff's etc look alike. They're faces are SO very different and are their body structures!(and I don't want anyone to think I am Anti-Pit..I love pits and the bully breeds! And Carson and Echo have always been drawn to the bully's since they were tiny pups..they always want to play/wrestle etc w/them. In puppy Kindergarten there were 2 Pit pups and in the 2nd time they went through puppy K, there was a sweetheart of a pit pup that ec and Cars would get all excited to see walk in)
I think you handled the situation very well. I hope you spoke with the mayor about this woman's attitude and obvious training needs. I work in the public sector and it embarasses me when I hear stories like that. Even if she didn't believe you, there are MUCH better ways she could have handled the situation. At least she could have got her facts correct is she is such a boxer expert...and I don't think there is such a thing as a brown boxer - is there? - I could be wrong, but I think the closest is a brindle

I don't even have to write a letter. I know the mayor pretty well (not personal friends but we know each other)..and my daughters 2 best friends dads are Aldermen..as are 4 men on the council who my husband and I are good friends with
That biotch doesn't realize that although she works for them..I am personal friends with them..you can rest assured they will all know what my experience was! And I happened to drop my daughter off at her best friends house..hubby and I had stayed and chatted with her dad and mom and I old him exactly what Ms Know it all said and did.
