I agree although dekan would stay outside until his feet froze off.....theres nothing better than a mouth full of snow and making his mom chase him through the snow right before work....:p

That paints a funny picture. smashicon smashicon

I have to Make mine go out before work. They are tired and not interested in the cold at all!!! Chester goes as far as holding his feet up one at a time in order to keep them out of the snow.

harley loves the snow, he sticks his whole head in it and then
darts in the other direction. he now has to be taken out on
a leash because he wont stop playing keep-away.

If anyone is interested me and Weiley will be heading out to the Lake Forest dog park on Waukegan Ave just north of Rt22 around 12 or 12:30 tomorrow he had a blast last weekend playing in the snow and it should be a bit warmer tomorrow than last saturday

 i dont know where that is.

anyway, does your dog like other dogs? like annoying ones?
....harley loves playing with other dogs but he tends to get on
their nerves, unless theyre his age..

hes about 5.5 months. hes socialized, we have 2 other dogs, but
since we dont have a fenced yard they never get to run around or
anything. i was taking him to puppy play time at petsmart, but now hes too old.

he's just stubborn.

Weiley plays with anything with 4 legs unless it barks or growls meanly at him then he just slinks away to find someone else to play with, he'll run he'll box, he'll wrestle whatever the other dog wants although I think he perfers chasing and being chased the most. And I don't know where your coming from but this Park is bout 3 miles east of 294 and bout 5 miles north of Lake-Cook road just get off at Rt22 Half Day Rd exit go east to Waukegan Rd take a left and it's bout 1/2 mile on the right Oh but it does require a fee I have a yearly pass but for one day use it's 4 bucks for lake county residents and i believe 7 for everyone else but it's acres and acres of open feilds and walking trails all fenced in

well, when playing with the dogs at home, harley does that "boxer growl" that everyone talks about so much. but whenever he went to "puppy play time", he never made a peep while playing with those puppies.

that sounds fun. im in palos heights. i dont really know my way around too well, i moved here from seattle WA at the end of august. all i know is the area around me, and the area around my work, in westmont.

but i can probably find it just from your directions.

it would be a lot more fun if more people showed up though..

Well I know Palos is a long way from Lake Forest prolly like a 45-50 min drive straight up the tollway it's like 20 miles north of O'Harebut in any case I'll be there bout 12 or 12:30 and there are usually lotsa dogs there, sometimes other boxers but usually only one

i dont mind driving, harley loves car rides.

my husband works saturdays anyway, so ill just be sitting
around by myself, until he gets home in the evening.

i hope there arent a TON of other dogs there. not any
that arent on the board. at least anyone whos read my post
will know what to expect from harley, but i dont want any
strangers to get annoyed!

 he'll be so hard to catch afterwards.

im 8.5 months pregnant, hopefully YOUR dog comes when called!
harley will just follow! that makes it easier to grab him!
he usually listens unless hes distracted. i might as well be invisible when theres another dog around.

No this is a huge dog park at any time there are like 25 to 50 dogs out there, like I said it is acres and acres but what I should have said was it's like hundreds of acres it has several different open fields, a lake area for the dogs although now it's frozen over but still very cool in the summer and miles of walking trails, and there are all kinds of dogs there not just boxers and the people are from all over not from this board, I'm just warning ya cuz this place is huge and it might be rather difficult to get your Harley back especially if ya aren't that mobile and he doesn't listen well, not only that there aren't many places to sit and rest there there are some picnic tables near the enterance but last week they were covered with snow, I just would hate to have you drive all the way up there and find something different from what you were expecting
