I'm so very sorry!! :(

I was watching Texas Justice the other day, and the Judge did say the only time anyone can shoot a dog is if it's endangering the life of a human or livestock.

But still, this is terrible news. My heart hurt when as I read this. Again, so very sorry for your loss.

I too am so very sorry for your loss and the ordeal Mia now has to go through, as well as you and your family. What a horrible tragedy. I'm so very sorry.

For those who are asking, it is the law in most if not all states that dogs found "worrying" livestock may legally be killed.

I am so sorry to hear what happened to Chavez and Mia. I certainly hope that Mia will be better soon.

Since the Sherriff's dept. was apparently called....I don't understand why they didn't opt to use a tranquillizer gun rather than a deadly bullet? When they received the call they could just as easily have dispatched animal control (who usually have tranquillizer guns) if that particular Sherriff's dept. didn't have the guns themselves.
It just seems so senseless to kill a dog that has not caused any problem previously.
