parts were similar I think the original is better but I did really like this one. I will have to rent the origial soon.

My best friend said it was terrible. She said that they had Johnny Depp looking like a twisted Michael Jackson (weird face paint and hair). I haven't seen it, I'll probably wait for the video.

I am the biggest fan of the oringinal so I am going to have to check this out. I have a feeling I will be disappointed!!

I loved the first one!! I bought it years ago and still love to watch it..I'm a little nervous about seeing it some things they should leave alone...

dragged my bf to see it last night. I was upset that I didnt get to sing along with the oompas, but i did enjoy it. It was funny. The original is better, but i do like this charlie more than the original charlie.

I agree with the Michael jackson thing though my bf has been saying that since the commercials started. There are some parts missing (ie, fizzy lifting drinks).

There was one thign I from the original im happy wasnt in the new one... In the original when their in the boat that just goes really fast and he sings "theres no earthly way in knowing, which direction we are going) well if you remember, in the original, images flash on the screen when that part comes and one of the images is a goose getting its head chopped off.
