The first weekend in February sounds good to me too! Either Saturday or Sunday is fine so whatever the general consensus comes out to be will work for us.

At least we'll say it's the first weekend in February then after the holidays are over, we'll get a definite day then make more specific plans.......this should be fun!

Hey everyone!

I jumped into this mix a little late but, I'd love to be involved. I live about 30min from Sanford (right by UCF). Our little Roxy loves other dogs and I'm sure she would have a blast. She will be almost 4months mid-January which would be the perfect time to get in some good-ole-fashioned-playin. Please keep me up-dated on the happenings. Maybe I can go scout the park out ahead of time since I'm the closest.

The more the merrier!
I think the reason we settled on the first week of February is so all the dogs will be the parks required age of 4 months by then. Also, Kelli will be getting her baby at the end of the year and that extra month will give her time to get to know him before we all meet.

If you could scout it out ahead of time for us, that would be great! You could let us know how it looks, if there is a picnic area, how busy it is, etc.

I'm so excited. I will try to get out to the park sometime in early Jan. (Things are just too crazy right now (I work retail!!!)). I'll keep checking in to see if there are any changes.

I'm in. Sanford is a good 2 hours for me, which can be tough with 1 small child and a not-so-small child (not to mention the furry, not-so-small child), but it will be worth it to meet all of you and your Boxers - very exciting.

Is this Dog Park a good place for children?

Kim...good to have you. Sounds like we've got quite a little group growing here. Kim, if you could check out Sanford on a weekend to see what the crowds are like, that'd be great! I would LOVE to do this on a beach. Is there anywhere listed on Craig's link that would be central for all? New Smyrna maybe? Any thoughts on that? We'll get it together for sure and it will be a BLAST!
