Considering the allergies to dust and storage mites... you may need to avoid feeding him or having him in contact with dry dog food (that is where most of those mites will probably be found).

Oh no, I love feeding dry food :(

The vet has ordered Casper's first lot of injections.
He has asked them to include every allergen positive & borderline to be included apart from the food ones as they can be completely avoided. Heaven knows how much it's going to cost, is it priced at each allergen included do you think? We have to pay upfront first and then claim it back from the insurance.
If the immunotherapy doesn't work (and it can take up to a year to show any improvement) there is something else called Atopica that he can have (think they're tablets)

Carole Cladosporium is also found in the home .........

I am off on half term this week and have totally blitzed everything and bleached all the UPVC window frames that could be harbouring Cladosporium.

Yes it is :( which makes it harder to avoid. An air purifier has helped Finn during his bad time of year.

RE dried food - Finn is also allergic to the storage mites and we have found that by keeping his food in airtight containers which are steam cleaned each refill and by washing his face after each meal keeps them under control.

I keep their kibble in an airtight container too, will also wash their faces after they've eaten (I do this sometimes anyway) How do you steam clean it?

With the ragweed and outdoor allergies. Does Lola seem to lick and bite her feet a lot? My Kramer does, especially in the spring/summer.

I have a small hand held steam cleaner which I use along with a clean cloth, then leave to dry. It is also handy to get rid of the other molds in the home too.

Allergy syrum testing

I have had the same tests on Chloe my 6 year old female, she's allergic to every kind of grass, dust, pork, beef, pretty much anything that you could imagine she is allergic to. It's expensive and it's taken me about 2 years, but knowing what she is allergic to was HALF of the battle. She takes over the counter allergy medication along with a number of things from the vet, but she's back to normal. My heart goes out to you !!
