I hope I'm in the right thread...? Anyway, 2 out of the past 6 times we've driven more than 30 minutes with Riley (our now 6 1/2 month old boxer) he's thrown up in the car. The other 4 times he hasn't he has had "his bed" with him in the car. So I'm thinking it's the bed that helps him not get sick. Is that car sickness, or just nervousness? He's also dealing with separation anxiety, so maybe he's more prone to anxiety in general...
(we let him on the seat while driving, crate is out of the question in teh car, looking into a seatbelt for safety)
is this something he may outgrow? or should we just always plan on hauling his big ole bed in the car when driving long distances (fine but a nuisance)?
