Bailey has a thing for birds. I think thats why she goes nuts in the car.
All the other dogs will sit. and the beagle is on the floor most of the time I dont know why she likes that but she does. Well Thank You I going to the store today I might pick one up. She wears a harnes sometimes when we walk
so do ya think she will like it? She is 3 now and we might have to work on it but anything to keep me and her plus the rest of my pups safe!!! Thanks guys!!

It might take some time. I am bringing my new puppy home tomorrow. I can't wait. I am going to start training him on it ASAP.

Are these fleece harnesses adjustable? Lola is still growing and I would hate to have to buy a bunch of different sizes.
Yes- if you go to Petco/ Petsmart you can fit it there or bring it back- even if the tag is off.
They are only about $20.

I know you can get one that is universal and adjustable. However, the one I bought doesn't have any fleece on it. It's just 2 belts that criss-cross over her chest and you attach it to the center seat belt in the back. It's worked well for us, as Laila used to jump all over the place in the car.. Now she calmly sits on the back seat. (even though she has no choice about it)

I'll try to find a link that shows the one we got.

thank you

Thanks you guys, I went out and got two of the fleece seat belt harnesses this weekend... one for Lola (medium size) and one for Halo (large size). I have not figured out how to use them in my car yet because DH threw away the instructions!!! Are they hard to attach to the seatbelt in the car or is it pretty common sense?

Mine is fairly easy to attach. It jsut slipps on like a harness. I get her to sit in her spot and put the seatbelt through the loop in the back.

My Samson travels around town with me on a daily basis. He is 9 mths. old, and we have never used a seat belt. He is really good about not bothering me while driving, he loves to look out the windows. I've been wanting to get a belt for him and was wondering how much movement it would allow him? Could he still stick his head out the window? (I don't have anything as luxurious as power locks, so I let him have all the fresh air he can stand out the window!) I love letting him ride with me - he is my traveling body guard. We have a problem with people approaching cars at stop lights asking for money and such, but my Big Bad Dog puts a stop to that really quick!

Hi -- oh, he can still stick his head out the window - that was my concern too. I have an SUV now, so I have a dog barrier or her big steel crate in the back so just in case I stop short she's not a projectile or anything. Grace is also 9 mos. old and loves the "breeze", and the seatbelt harness really is a great invention-- although you would have thought I was pulling her tongue out the way she HOWLED when I first put it on! -- don't let that stop you, though. he'll be okay! What I did was we wore it for a few nights just around the house for 20 minutes or so, so it became not a big deal when it was time to put it on to ride. Then she knew it was time to go for a ride. I think you'll both like is -- as well as the peace of mind it gives you that you're BOTH safe. Best of luck with your baby boy!
