Good bye sweet Mason

I am so sorry about your Mason. Since I lost Magic, I have had to struggle with some pretty horrible feelings about her first visits with the vet. One of the biggest challenges after her death is forgiving myself for taking her to the vet in the first place. The worst part is knowing that I cannot go back and change what has happened. After following you posts, I feel that you loved Mason with your whole heart. Mason got the best care he could have ever gotten because “True Love” motived it. I loved Magic so much, maybe too much...but I gave her my 100%. By knowing this I have found some peace during my grieving process. I know you will miss Mason very, very much. He must have been a wonderful friend and companion. My thoughts are with you and your family. May you always know that you gave your very best.

Words cannot express my sorrow for you and your family. I am writing with tears streaming down my face, even though I haven't been in your position, I can imagine the pain and torment that you are feeling. Mason gave 9 wonderful years to you and your family, and you provided him with all he ever wanted....Love. Please don't concentrate on the days that he was in the vet, while they were searching for a diagnosis. You were doing what you thought was right for Mason, and that's what counts. You and your family are suffering enough with his passing without beating yourselves up about not taking him to a specialist sooner. Mason is now waiting at the bridge with many others....having their own special fun. Think of the fun, love and joy that he brought ya'll. You have my deepest sympathies for your loss. So sorry to hear about Mason. :( As others have mentioned, I'm sure you gave him the best 9 years that any boxer could have hoped for. You did the right thing by letting him go, even though I'm sure it was a very tough decision.

My deepest condolences to you & your family...thank you for being brave enought to post your experience from this horrible situation. If Mason's illness can persuade at least one person to try and find answers to their dogs illness/symptoms sooner then perhaps there is some good. You all are in my prayers.
