Ok, this may seem a little odd and not sure what to think of it!

My mother in law to be just purchased a house. It is a very old house which is joined onto her nightclub, which used to be an old conema many many years ago. I am funny about old places as am a believer in ghosts and a litle scared to be in the club on my own. Well today I took Elvis down so he could run around in the garden while we checked out the new house, anyway he would not walk through the little hall which joins the house/club. He pulled back and back legs were shaking like anything. We finnaly got him into the garden, however when it was time to go had exatually the same problem getting him through the hall back into the club, and in the end his dad had to carry him through with a fight. It was the weirdest thing and never seen him like this before. People do say they sense things in the place, has anyone ever had an experiance like this or am I just letting my mind work overtime!!!

I think they can. One time, Lou and I were asleep, and I felt kind of like a puff of air (no, not from his backside...) and he jumped up and started growling at the end of the bed. I turned on the lights, pulled the covers back...I couldn't see anything. But he would NOT get back in bed, he just sat there growling at something. He was looking in the same spot the whole time. Finally, he settled down, but I wondered if he didn't see a ghost.

Apparenlty they can, and when they do if theyre calm or not is a good indication of whether the ghost wants to harm you or not.Our house is haunted, Cin sees it all the time especially in my room. She'll sit ther then out of nowhere stare in the corner...follow whatever it is over the ceiling then to the other corner. But she doesnt bark at it or anytihg, just starres at it

hummm

that seems sooo wild.... i knew that they could sense things.. like when they stay with someone as there dieing... or when my husband and i get into an arguement, Kimber will choose one of us ussually the one thats mad and crawl up in our laps or will jump on us untill we calm down :) its kinda cool to think that our dogs can protect us from things we cant even see!

I belvie they can. I have had a few experiences of my own with my younger one Cracker. He has seen things a few times that I didn't but one of those times was pretty bad. He ran under my desk (no he doesn't fit well) and was shaking so bad I was worried about him but I could also feel something not "right". I can't explain it other than I had a bad feeling around me. He usually just sits by me and watches things I can't see but the one time I swear I could feel it and he was petrified.

I think they can too. Here's my story. My 14 mth old skin kid was born with a heart defect and from what I was told had to be "brought back" several times in the hours after his birth until he could be transported to a Childrens hospital several hundred miles away that could deal with his particular defect. Well, after 6 weeks in the hospital and open heart surgery our baby was released to come home. Within weeks we began to notice that the baby would stare off into a particular corner of the room and be transfixed, sometimes smiling. We always believed that our son had a guardian angel, being all that he had been through in his first few weeks. But despite ourselves we began to wonder if he couldn't see something we couldn't. It seemed to calm him and give him this peacefullness. Anyway we began to take pictures of him and the corner he would stare at during these episodes. To our shock and disbelief the pictures that came back had what we come to learn are known as orbs.

Well fast forward several months and when the baby was 8 mths we adopted our 1st boxer puppy chase. He is now 8 mths old and does seem to bark at something in the corners of the room and gets spooked out of nowhere for no visible reason. He is not a timid dog, just the opposite very laid back and happy go lucky. We still take out the camera when he or the baby are acting a little strange and we have lots of pictures that have the orbs in them. The weirdedt thing is that the orbs only appear in pictures with the baby in them.

So yes, long story short, I do believe dogs can sense or maybe even see ghosts.

I love topics like this--they're so crazy and yet so believable HA HA. I've yet to go where I know ghots supposedly are, I"m a major chicken. And I doubt my dog would be any help since he's such a scaredy cat anyway.

There's a library in Evansville that is known for a "gray lady" ghost who lives there. The story of this place was even on one of the national radio shows around Halloween last year. Ghost tracker teams come in all the time to look for her---maybe we should just take our boxers in there and see what they sense. Gives me goosebumps just thinking bout it

Old women visiting our house

Magic was not a barker. One night she really let go and was barking and acting really werid. Since she hardly ever barked, we got up and searched the premises...we saw nothing. I jokingly said, "I think she is seeing ghosts". That night was the beginning of strange things to come. For two weeks lights came on in the middle of the night, a stack of dishes bounced out of the cupboard and shattered, a music box that had not been touched in years started playing, doors mysteriously opened and slammed shut. Magic, my stepson, husband and I were going nuts wondering what was going on in our once peaceful little home.

I confided in our next-door neighbor, who is elderly and has lived in our neighborhood for years. I told her everything that had happened during those two weeks. She said that the elderly women who use to live in our house was forced by her relatives to move into a nursing home as she was not able to take care of her home any longer. My neighbor said she was very angry about having to leave her home and really put up a big fight. My neighbor also mentioned she had received a notice that the elderly woman had passed away about the time our house came alive with all the spooky stuff. I was shocked! Magic was so jumpy during that time. She really seemed to act as if we had an unwanted visitor in our home. We have not had a visit from the old lady since.
