My fiancee and I are planning on purchasing 2 littermates (boy & girl). We have gone back and forth and read a lot about making a decision on getting two or not. We have pretty much made up our minds that we are getting two, mostly because we want our pups to have company since we work during the day. I know it will be A LOT of work (every pup is), and may be harder to train them, but in the end I really feel it will be worth it. I understand many have different views about this, and while I am looking for all opinions, I would especially like ones that support us :)
PS: I love this website and think it is the best, i can't wait to post my pictures once we get them!!!

I say go for it... the more the merrier..

only thing I would suggest though is that you make a concious decision to give them individual time so that they can develop a personality and an outlook in life that isn't 100% linked to their sibling, cause if something bad were to happen to one of them, the other would be very lost without having devloped a life of their own.

good luck.. can't wait to see pictures.

I agree go for it.
We have 4 boxers Brandi and Caesar(5yrs) are brother and sister and Maggie and Jake (2yrs)are too. I think it's great, wish I could have more.

Go for it. I agree with everyone else, please socialize seperately. I did not do that with my two boxers who are brother and sister. They now are so attached to each other that if one is out of sight the other goes nuts.

I am so jealous! 2x the puppy breath! There will be times when you will question the sanity of your decision, but go for it...the rewards will far out weigh the troubles (at least after the 1st year :D). Can't wait to see pics!

Go for it. That is exactly how we became the proud parents of fur baby twins. Samson and Delilah were littermates. I have never regretted getting two. They do keep each other company. It has been a very good idea. I am glad we did it. You will be glad also.

Congrats!

I think thats a terrific decision to get 2! (twice the boxer lovin) we have a brother and sister too, except they are about a year and a half apart. people have already given you great advice about socializing them seperately, so i think you are on your way (esp. with BW as a resource!). good luck with the pups, im sure they will be a handful. don't forget to get them fixed!! or you may have a hell of a time keeping them separate during your females first heat!! good luck again! can't wait to see pix!
