what a bummer

Sorry to hear sad news. Your next little man is out there waiting for you. I had situation like that happen but worse before getting Kilbane. The first breeder I was in contact with said she had been breeding for years. Well she had a litter at the end of the summer, 7 pups, all had passed before 2 weeks in age. I too had one picked out with his name in mind. Shortly there after my little man joined our family and has been the best thing for us.

Sounds like a rough situation and you were so ready to welcome that little guy into your home. But there is another boxer baby out there who needs a loving home and you will find him one day. Hang in there, and keep looking for the right addition to your family.

I feel so sorry that this has happened to you. It happened to us years ago when we were buying our first Boxer, we had picked a red male, and had got everything ready for him,.....the kids were going frantic with excitement...then we got a phone call the night before, it had all fell through (possibly they had an offer for more money), To say we were heartbroken was an understatement, we had been waiting weeks on him.....but I too think that these things happen for a reason, because we ended up getting a female, our beloved Poppy, who shared our lives for 13 wonderful years...I know too that this is what will happen with you, there is one beautiful puppy out there waiting for you to become his or her mum!

Oh, I am so very sorry for you. I know you had your heart set on getting a little brother for Samantha. That's a real bummer. A few years back I went and picked out a little puppy that I was supposed to get the very next day. When I called the lady she said that it was gone and offered me another. But I didn't want the other one, I had my heart set on this particular puppy with the black nose. But you know I said to myself obvioiusly this was not meant to be so I said there will be another puppy out there and a few months down the road I went to look at more puppies but they were all gone by the time I got there but the amazing thing is that on the way home this guy was standing on the side of the road with a little poodle in his arms. We stopped and he was selling him. He was about 2 years old and I knew right away he was the one for me. He kissed my daughters face (she was 10 at the time) we paid him and took the doggie home. The poor little guy was thin and full of fleas. We cleaned him up and put him on a good diet and he was the best rescue ever. He lived for 12 years and was the joy of our lives. So maybe, just maybe, another little guy is waiting for you. I wish you all the luck and I feel so bad for you. Take care.

I woke up today feeling a little better and you all are right I am sure - that is was just not meant to be at this time and it must have been for a reason.

I am going to wait a while before I start looking again for Samantha a new baby brother to bring into our new home.

I am thinking my goal now is to start looking again in August because that is when I brought Samantha home was on MY BIRTHDAY last year and to bring the right brother home on my Birthday Day again would be a wonderful present to myself and that way Samantha will be a little over One Year Old!
