We're FINALLY getting our girl tomorrow afternoon, WHOOP! :)

Now what am I suppose to expect?? I've already blocked off all wires from our TV area and made sure she wouldn't be able to get a-hold of anything in the house besides pillows and toys.... *hope the remotes makes it through the puppy stage! Yard is devoid of dangerous materials unless she eats our plastic chairs ha! She will never be in our garage unattended(though we don't have much in there anyways).

We set up a heavy duty playpen in the middle of the house for the few hours that she'll be alone at our house. Plenty of toys, Kong chews toys and etc. that should keep her busy.
We're trying out the Neater Feeder Express for her water only while she's a pup to see if it works :)

We set the crate in our bedroom right beside our bed so it wouldn't be too difficult to reassure her if there are problems in the middle of the night. I have a feeling that we're going to melt at her crying and break her crate training regime...... fingers crossed.

Please tell me your puppy stories and if you have any suggestions/advice! I have a feeling that she's going to turn our quiet lifestyle upside down :D

Expect to fall totally in love with your little one - and maybe a little chaos along the way! :) We had two puppies at once (what were we thinking?!) so I have no clue how just one is but it sounds like you are prepared. Do know that you will be exhausted for a few weeks as everyone adjusts and gets onto a schedule. That was the hardest part for us - getting way less sleep for a while until they could hold it all night. Ah, the puppy days! ;)

Oanhis, I have a 5 month old baby boy who began sleeping through the night at 2 weeks old. My wife and I were lucky. We bough our pup and my sleep hasn't been more disrupted than it has lately, and I don't even care! Juno (the puppy) is awesome!

Congratulations and enjoy every second of it! I know we are!

Congrats on your baby girl! You will fall madly in love and forgive her everything lovicon You will talk endlesly about her poop, what she will eat and will not eat, what that noise, head tilt, ear movement could possible mean:LOL: You sound thoroughly prepared. I too had the crates at the ready, near the bed, and then my first baby boy whimpered-picked him up, put him under the covers and all of them have been up there ever since! So here is one of the best tips I got-for teething give her frozen carrots or soak and freeze facecloths and she can calm her little gums. Hmmmmm-puppy smell-I am so so so so jealous-enjoy every minute :)

Oh my :) I don't think I can even imagine what it would be like if we started out with two ha! Did yours ever go though a puppy terrible two's stage?? I've heard the puppy stage is a real roller coaster especially the teething age!

We've been planning and waiting for our little girl for a while now so we're definitely excited to have her in our arms. We're already head over heels for her just by seeing her picture updates weekly :)

I'm worried she'll get into something that I would never think to puppy proof!

Thank you! How often do your puppies get up. Between 2-4 hours? I wonder if I need to set a soft alarm to take them out during the night? Awww your little boy and your pup are going to be best buds growing up together!

:D talk about her poop?! haha I don't doubt that. Speaking of which I need to figure out where we should have her designated potty area outside. Though I'm fearful that her pee will kill me grass.....Finger crossed, hopefully it won't be that potent!

I have a feeling that she is going to end up cuddled up in our bed even though we have intentions of crate training her through the nights. We're big softies apparently.

I would of never thought of frozen carrots! How much can they have without it upsetting their tiny stomachs?

I've also read that soft raw bones were really good as well.

When she is little just keep taking her to the same poop spot. You can even leave a little there so she gets her own scent. As for the grass if you water it down right after that usually does it. I usually end up with a few spots here and there that I over seed each fall. Look into different grases-some are tougher than others.

As for the carrots one should keep her busy for awhile. And if they do bother her then the wash cloth is an option. As for bones, I never really gave them to the young pups but I can't imagine a little raw bone would not be good for them. Never a cooked one though :)

We definitely hit a Terrible Twos stage - only it was at about aged 1 to 1.5 years old. You have to keep steady with the training and exercise - a tired boxer is my favorite boxer! ;) Routine was key for us also. They did chew some furniture corners when other people were dog sitting with them but they never did it with us, so routine changes came in to play in those instances, I think. Definitely plan on training classes - boxers are big, strong dogs and need to know their manners and be controllable.

You sound so excited - I'm a little envious! Have fun!

I think we're going to end up re-seeding this fall anyways. Hopefully we get a bit more rain to help my grass survive. Between the heat and the new pup, hopefully my yard won't become a mud hole hahah

:) Yep definitely not a cooked bone!

We've started to look for puppy obedience classes around the area and I have found some with good reviews. Just have to wait for her to receive all of her shots and we can start doing puppy classes, meanwhile I guess it's youtube videos and trainings at home ha!

We are very excited :) The planning has been incredibly tedious/long with a few curve-balls but it makes getting our puppy way more satisfying.

Thanks!
