well i am sorry to say this but i have to. :(
in Malta, animal abuses are quite common. unfortunatly, there is not enough law enforcement and it seems that aminal abusers are free to to anything they like when they like. afew weeks ago a very rare species of bird came to breed on our island. these three birds stayed at a natural sanctuary for a couple of days and on the day they were leaving they were shot dead while flying away from the island. Malta has also been mentioned in british newpapers regarding our hunting problem. but not only hunting problems exist. dog fights are quite a hobby for some unrespectful citizens (if they may be called so). dogs are trained hard from when they are still very young in order to survive a fight. as soon as they are born, their tail is cut off and there ears are shaved as much as possible.
after a dog fight, the unfortunate dog who looses, is so wounded that the owner burns him alive. is this right?????
last year a puppy was found roaming the streets with half his face corroded. someone had trown some acid on his face and let him go.
a great dane was found some months ago with one foot in the grave. he was so dehydrated that all his bones where showing. he hadnt eaten or drank anything for a whole month. the man who found him said that the dog needed around 6 months of continuous care, if he would survive. this stornwas heard of a couple of weeks ago where the newspaper reported that the dog was in good health but still needed medication.
what do you think?
