I mentioned the Truesdales because they were the breeder feature in the Pedigree commercial - unless there was also one in the 80s that featured Kim as a breeder of champion Boxers, and not as the handler of the Truesdale's dogs.

You were trying to catch me in a lie, as was the other one who commented sarcastically on who is this "famous boxer breeder". Be honest with yourself you were and that is why I took offense to it.

No, I will state again that I was not trying to catch you in a lie. I just can't imagine why you would come up with that. However, perception is not always reality, and since as you say you were a kid, it is quite possible that "very famous" to you was not "very famous" to the breed. I understand that kids don't pay attention to kennel names - but I didn't think they paid attention to income from breeding vs. income from other sources, either, which is why I was trying to clarify.

Please read my words without adding inflections/insinuations of your own to them, and I think we'll be more clear on what is being said.

There family did breed boxers lots of them, for along time. I can assure you she did breed many boxers herself.

Well, all I can say is that I do not recall seeing her or her family's name in any of my books, or in any of the web searches I've done, connected to Boxers except in her capacity as a superlative handler. I will check my books again, to see if I can find their kennel name because I know a lot of people here are piqued

However - I do think this conversation has gotten far off the topic, so let's get back to it, shall we?

I clearly said I lost contact with them when I was eleven. My mother later told me she is a famous breeder. Of course I didn't think she was famous when I was a kid she was just my babysitter. Why do you get so snippy and short it's not neccesary?

I have no idea what you're talking about or to whom you're referring, but this post is nothing but argumentative. "Snippy and short" is in the way you hear the words in your head, not in the way they're written, so if you think a post is snippy and short try reading it again with a different "voice."

Regardless - if future posts continue to be irrelevant to the topic and/or argumentative, this thread will be closed.

Is this not argumentative, or when you asked me if people accuse me of lying often. Was that not argumentative, I don't see how anyone can perceive statements like these as anything but argumentative and snippy. It would be difficult to percieve them as anything but that. But whatever cancel the thread then, whatever but you're one of the biggest offenders of argumentative posts in this thread. I'm guilty too at least I can admit it.

There is a difference between being argumentative and arguing a point. Apparently, that difference escapes you.

For those who asked me to satisfy their curiosity:

Kim Pastella's grandfather, Chic Ceccarini, was a famous handler who had many Boxers in his string, including the beautiful Ch. Turo's Cachet. I could not find any mention of him breeding Boxers - but certainly he was well-known in the dog world as a handler. (And, quite certainly, well-paid.) When he became ill, Kim took over handling for him. Cachet was retired in 1987 (after taking Group 1sts at Westminster in 1986 and 1987), so Kim was handling at least by 1987, and the implication in the book was that she already was a professional handler in her own right when she took over for Chic.
