Breed Specific Legislation - This one's not too bad

I saw this earlier on a differnt website and was so excited to see people being proactive about this instead of the typical "BAN" the breed. especially because i have a pit!

I live just outside of Chicago, IL. where they are talking about banning the breed. i hope they follow the example S.F. is setting for our country and the dogs rights!

I do recognize that he didn't just take the easy way out and ban the breed altogether. (Although in a city as liberal as SF, I don't think that would have gone over very well.) He did some research and came up with a plan that, if enforced, could help the situation. I just don't see how it can be effectively enforced and fear what happens the next time there's an attack and the public is outraged again.
