Sorry to here bout your baby did you have a MRI done my friends dog was thought to have a brain tumor but when she had an MRI done for 1200 dollars they found out she didn't and are working on figuring out what is wrong with her by process of elimination the same friend has a dog that came into rescue 9 months ago with a brain tumor he is 14 1/2 he wasn't supposed to live more then 6 months she keeps diapers on him and he is still playing and running there are some bad days but most are good

She is having a good day today. She even growled at the other dog which she hasn't done in a while.

We are just taking every day as a bonus that she is still with us. When she was really poorly a couple of weeks ago, I asked the vet when we should think about putting her to sleep. He just said that we would know!! Reading some of your replies I will just take his advice and see how we go.

sorry to hearyour story jo. i went through the same thing nearly 12 months ago with my much loved Xena. it all started with her losing balanceto one side, bumping into chairs, tables walls and almost every thing else that didnt move. she evan leaned up against a wall for support when she ate. treated with steroids gave improvement for 3 to 4 weeks and then her condition started to decline again. we increased the dosage for more improvement but you can only give so much. from the time of diagnosis we had 8 weeks with her before we decided it was timeto do the right thing. this was the sadest day of my life. we had the vet come to our home to give xena the dignified end that she deserved. she is survived in our home by bella and baxter her pups and angel her grand pup.

Once again thank you for all your kind posts.

She's had a good weekend and even went for walk in her favourite place yesterday. She tried to join in with the stone kicking but she couldn't keep her balance!!

This sounds so sad but we used to kick stones and she would chase them. She stood there wanting us to kick the stones but when we did she just fell over!! It made me sad to see her struggle.

I really wish we had appreciated these moments more and not just taken them for granted
