I'm already going to apologize in advance because I just need to vent and I know this is gonna be kinda jumpy and messed up!
My boyfriend took our car out to go with his buddies Saturday night. Well the phone rings at 2am and my woman intuition (sp?) kicked in and I knew that he had wrecked the car before I even saw the caller ID or answered the phone. He was the other end a nervous wreck. I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he had indeed wrecked the car. That a deer ran out in front of him and he swerved to miss it and got caught in a ditch and ended up hitting a tree!! So I put on some warm clothes and drove to where he had the accident. When I pulled up all I was was the driver's side and there really wasn't much damage that I saw, but I saw that the air bags did blow. I thought alright not to bad. When I finally got out and to the passenger side I started crying my eyes out and got sick! The front right wheel was ripped completely off and the quarter panel was crushed! Not to mention half of the bumper was missing. I was so mad at him, but so thankful that he wasn't hurt. Even though I would've liked to hurt him!
So to make a long story short the state police showed up and gave him a breathalizer. He blew a 0.14!! The legal limit here is 0.08!! I was ready to kill him even more after that. So he got arrested for DUI and now I'm stuck with a car that still hasn't been looked at my the insurance company and no car to drive!
After I bailed him out of jail Sunday morning he told me that the last drink he had was at 9:30 that night. So I asked him what had he drank....3 Long Island Ice Teas and a couple beers! He couldn't figure out why in the world he blew that high when he didn't even have a buzz!! I was ready to choke him.
I'm trying to make the best out of the situation and look at it like everything happens for a reason, but it's gonna take me awhile to figure this one out!! We had only had that car for 5 months and I absolutly loved it!! Now my insurance company is thinking about dropping me because when I first got my liscence lets just say I wasn't the best driver in the world! And I'm gonna have to find another car that when I finally find another insurance company that the insurance won't be to high. I could just scream!!
