Boxers Sharking?

Okay, I feel like being a little silly today, no serious posting from me!

I think I have a fun question! As we read the posts on BW we notice that we call some of our boxer behaviour and other characteristics by the same words or names somehow.

For those of you who have more than one boxer, have you noticed your boxers gathering and walking in what seems like circles around you, or perhaps in front of you, and you wonder what they are thinking at that moment? In my household we call this "sharking." It is hilarious to see the three of them doing their little act. It reminds me of a tank full of sharks circling around a cage that has been lowered into the water, ha ha ha.

What other unusual names have fellow boxer-holics come up with for the never-ending boxer antics? I would love to hear them!

Chewing the Drumstick

Ah, yes, the sharking thing...

When Bob wants Iris to play, he starts nibbling at her back legs. We call that "chewing the drumstick".

When we have to lure them away from the water bowl due to prolonged drinks, we say "don't be a camel".

Pirahna War - When all 3 are on their backs, heads together, mouth wrestling like there's no tomorrow!! The sounds they make remind me of the noise they used in the bad b-film about the pirahnas.

The Old Ball and Chain Gang - When one has the ball and the other two are in line behind him (usually Booker has the ball). They just calmly walk around the house like they're attached muzzle to hip until the one with the ball lays down then they mob him/her to get the ball away. Then it usually starts all over with whoever ends up with the ball.

I love "sharking"! Our 3 do this all of the time!

Mushing....that when Joe comes up to us and pokes us with his mush! We all LOVE it. :D

We call this the stalking..

Our male hides in the bushes and stalkes our female then tackels her at 100 mph then they do the boxer burn...i swear when he is doing this you can hear the 007 theme song....

My kids started calling it "The dying fish dance"! It stuck. :rolleyes:

"sofa surfing" definition:
the action by the boxers in the house of rooting under the sofa cushions for stuff. Sometimes includes getting the body entirely under the sofa cushions, or knocking them off the sofa.

"Chicken Legs"
It's when Kona is laying on her belly and her legs are out to the side instead of underneath her. They look just like whole chicken legs, thighs and all. When we say "chicken legs", she knows what we are talking about and her nub wags a mile a minute.

The "Give My Crotch Some Sunlight Sit!" When they sit with their back legs all relaxed and apart (very unlady-like).

Dead Chicken: When Muggsey lays on his back with his legs spread he looks like a dead chicken. If I call my husband from work and ask what Muggsey is doing sometimes he will say "He's doing dead chicken infront of me on the floor." I love the dead chicken!!!
