Boxer Pal
Hello all! I have been a lover of the boxer breed for about seventeen years now. It all started when my highschool gorlfriend got a boxer pup named Cody. I instantly fell in love with him and got the opportunity to puppy sit him regularly. Unfortunately she moved away and we broke up and I never saw Cody again, however I was hooked on boxers for life.
About a year ago one of my co-workers borught in an eight year old female boxer in that a friend could no longer keep. I immediately told him that if he couldn't keep her that I wanted her. That night he called me and said that he would be bringing her the next day. That next day is when my fawn girl, Abby came into my life. She has been my constant companion and I love her with all of my heart.
A few weeks ago we noticed a lump on Abby's belly and immediately had her examined by her Vet. It turned out to be mammory cancer. We had that tumor and a few more that were found during surgery removed. They also spayed her and found that one of her ovaries was covered with cancer. Unfortunately it has also spread to her lungs too. The doc said we could have up to two years left with her and I'm going to cherish every moment.
Some good friends of ours recently moved and were not able to keep their six month old white female boxer in their new home. I quickly offered to let her stay at our house and they decided to give her to us for good. Zoey came into our lives this past saturday and she is already much loved by everyone in the family.... well everyone except Abby, she is still getting used to her new sister.
Abby and now Zoey have and continue to bring so much joy into our lives. I can't imagine life without them!!
