boxer woes

I'm so sorry for your loss.We will keep you in our thoughts, heart and prayers.
I too had a boxer with a brain tumor, Duke was 11. He went on for 5 months on seizure drugs and prednisone. His last day was very painful to watch and I had to let him go. I think he really wanted to leave his eyes showed he wasn't happy.
Now he is happy and and with his Dutch and made lots of new friends at the bridge. I know Sweet Mayla will be greeted by all of our angels.

so sorry to hear that about Mayla'a illness. i know what you mean. i have just passed from the same experience with Le Roy last month but the only difference was that Le Roy died within two days and the cause of his death was a mystry. We will keep Mayla in our thoughts, heart and prayers, and hope that you and your family can over come the loss as soon as possible.

Thank you all for writing. This is very hard as it is just me and my Rottie - Josephina. She is walking around the house looking for Mayla. It is sad indeed.
It will take some time - the good thing is that 'cousin Kane' will come to stay for a week while my sister is in China for Spring Break. Usually, Josephina doesn't love Kane as he is a puppy - but I think that she would be grateful for ANY companionship.
