Boxer Unexpected Death

Good evening all,

Just thought I would take a minute to get my sadness off my chest... Our beloved boxer,Colby died today with no warning nothing. I knew of the various heart conditions that boxers can have, I just didn't think it would happen to him. We are soo very sad!! We came in from shopping and he didn't want to get off the couch. So we carried him outside only to have him collapse and within five minutes he was dead. The only sign is that he was a little tired today and he didn't want to sleep alone last night which was odd, as he loved his corner of the couch. Just wanted to share my story as he was truly the best dog every and irreplaceable. I know that as boxer owners you understand how I feel that your dog is a one of a kind. How do you get over this loss??? Thanks for just listening!!!

I am so sorry about the loss of Colby! It is extra hard when they die unexpectedly. The pain will eventually ease and only the happy memories will remain.

I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Colby.We just went through the loss of our Maggie on December 16th. I feel your deep pain and sorrow.I really am not sure how one gets over this as I am trying very hard myself.We are getting another boxer this Saturday though...I cannot live without one.Your in my prayers.I am grieving with you and memories can never be taken away.
