Boxer Booster
Everyone at my work know's I own boxer's and love my boxer's dearly as if they were my biological children.
I had a co-worker ask me today if i wanted his ?7-8? year old female because out of the last 3 litters she has produced for him, all of the puppies died.:( He said she is probably not going to have anymore good litters for him and did I want her, because all she does is stay pinned up or tied up all the time. This dog is either 7 or 8 years old, and he is still trying to crank babies out of her :( Nevermind the fact that he is a BYB also!! This is a sad situation. I have met his dog before, I have cared for her a few times while he is on vacation, etc. I never knew that her life was that way. She's so sweet and caring to be pinned/tied up all the time :( I never seen her pregnant either, that I know of?
The way I see it, is that she isnt making him any money anymore, and hes ready to give her up in her latter years of life. That just rubs my hair the wrong way. I told him I would be glad to have her, that I would spay her and she could live with my other 2 boxers, and the rest of her years will be filled with love, children,a big green back yard, toys and lots of food and rest. I said Thats a shame  I was at a loss for words, and on the other hand, afraid at the same time that he would change his mind if I let him have a piece of my mind. I bet his dog has never even had a toy before, since she was just his Breeding bitch, nothing more, and now that she cant do that anymore, he doesnt want her. She is AKC registered and a fine looking boxer.
Sorry so long, everyone keep your fingers crossed that she comes to us this weekend. I dont forsee a dramatic change for her since she knows us already. I need to get her, and take her away from all that crap she has been living in for the past 7 or so years of her life, she is too precious to waste anymore of her time here on earth, Boxer's lives are too short here with us as it is.
Thanks for listening.
