It's been a little bit warmer here but I can't wait for it to get nice for Lou's burns. He loves to do his burns inside the house during winter and last night was crazy. We have hard floors, so we have area rugs and runners all over. These used to go everywhere during the burns! We tried no slip padding and rug tape-nothing worked. Finally I resorted to tacking all of them down. By the way if your looking for a solution to rug displacement from boxer burns they actually work pretty well- they're made from soft metal so you don't see them when they're nailed in. Like I said they've worked all year...until last night. The burns reached something around mach1 and with Lou being a solid 85lbs everything that was tacked down came flying up. Not only did I have to fix them all, but I had to search forever for the little black tacks so that Lou wouldn't eat them.

It was still hilarious to watch though, gotta love the boxer burns. :)

Joey has an indoor burn that he does for me everyday when I get home from work. He meets me at the door and burns and goes in circles. I go along with him and will start turning circles and that make him burns and turns circles even more. We both love it. It is so cute and no matter how bad of a day I have had I always get greated with this and it makes everything OK again.

My two burn around the kitchen island, around the dining room table and then into the living room....which is filled with furniture......so the burns turn into jungle gym climbing. Now keep in mind we don't have horrible winter weather...cold but hardly any snow and ice....so they get their outdoor burns about 4 times a day as well. But the princess loves treating my leather furniture (that I just finished paying for ;) ) like her own personal jungle gym.

Johann thinks the chaisse end of our couch was designed for him to launch himself onto during burns. :p He runs through our office, then the dining room, and then jumps onto the couch and uses is as a jump-off board. That 1 cushion has taken some serious abuse.
