Boredom.... any suggestions?

I am so bored, I'm on holiday from work until the beginning of September ( I work at a school) and I'm bored already.
I've cleaned everything I can possibly think of, done all the jobs I didn't have enough time for in term time and now I'm bored stiff. This morning in between coming on here I've blitzed my sons bedroom as he's away on holiday.
I am not a big TV watcher so sitting watching a movie or just TV doesn't even appeal to me. I don't drive so don't have the option to just go somewhere. I feel so restless today and we're not even going away on holiday (my choice as I didn't want to put the dogs in kennels with Zeb being my little baby)
Normally when I'm this bored I redecorate a room but it's all done to my liking.
I think I'll take Lola out but even she looks at me and I swear she's thinking 'Not another walk mum'

Any suggestions before I go stir crazy?

Here's my fall back list should I ever have spare time (yeah right, spare time):

scrapbooking photos and memorabilia
take artistic photographs
write email or letter to friends I haven't talked to in awhile
work a crossword puzzle
read
browse antique shops, yardsales, quaint 'lil shoppes
research family history and geneaology
study foreign language

I like to practice obedience with Punchie whenever I have time too.

Wanda I get enough exercise walking my 2 muppets twice a day each. I've lost so much weight, I have lots of different routes to go on Plus i don't 'do' exercise
I don't need to do any gardening as the muppets have kindly pruned most of the plants for me
Cooking, hmmmm, good idea I might go bake some cakes or something after I've dragged (sorry taken Lola out) I think I'll walk her into town as the markets on, she'll enjoy that.

I'll be on vac next week. My list includes pressure washing the side of the house turning green.
Make a few batches of soap and candles so I'll have a jump on the holiday demand rush.
Wipe the dust off my sewing machine and learn how to use it again.
Spend lots of time with Chancey.
Make some baked goods to use up the opened packages of supplies in the pantry.
Drink a bottle or 2 of my older wine so I can shop for some more.

Jump on the express train to Scotland, and I'll give you plenty to keep you busy !

Washing, ironing, windows, gardening, shopping,.......one of the bedrooms could be doing with a fresh lick of paint.....

And when you get through all that, I'll let you train Biff for me

Wow Wanda, you make candles & soap, is it difficult?
Bet they smell lovely. I love all the soaps they sell in 'Lush' over here. My mouth waters whenever I walk past

Well I'm back
I took Lola into town and she was so good with all the people (was pretty packed) she must have been stroked so many times
She was fascinated with all the stalls but did freak a little when a gust of wind blew the awnings on a stall, most of the shoppers all ahhh'd and said bless her.
We went into the little pet shop (Lola was in heaven) and got some more treats for her & Zeb and then walked to The Quay (scenic riverside) but there was no available benches for me to sit on so we wandered to the big park and sat there for a rest.
She's happily dozing now and I've just started dinner so maybe I'll do some baking later with my daughter

BB Can you take dogs on trains as I'll have to be taking my 2 if I come see you They can prune your garden for you too

Candles are easier than the soap unless you purchase the "Melt & Pour" type soap base. I make my soap the old fashioned way with lye and oils.
I used to sell alot of my soaps on eBay but their fees got to be too much and took the fun out of itall. My candles are bakery shaped and scented or in jars.
They both use the same fragrance oils.Its cheaper to buy the oils in bulk so I make lots of scented things. I still get private requests for my soaps since they double as room/desk scenters too. There are lots of soap and candle recipes available on the web. Great hobby to get in to.

Tracey it must be the day for being fed up! I'm the same. My DH has been working away from home for the last 4 weeks (comes home at the weekends) and is away again this week. I was up with Sophie who has an upset tum on and off during the night and managed to get today off work to keep an eye on her so I've been up since 5.30am - I've walked Dino, hoovered, dusted, cleaned bathrooms, done 4 lots of laundry, done some gardening, read a gardening magazine (which made be depressed cause my garden will never be that good), played with the dogs, sat outside, surfed the web, had a snooze and I've still got hours to fill before bedtime! I'm official bored - I can't go anywhere in case Sophie needs an emegency poo - poor girl - so the height of excitement is what to make for tea and a phone call from my DH later tonight! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

After about the 2nd week into my school vacation, I got bored too. I knew I had to find something to occupy my time since we don't go back until middle August. So, I ordered some books online and taught myself how to sew pillows. I don't know if you have a sewing machine but they're fairly easy to make, if you keep it simple. I wanted to do something that was worthwhile and I can never have enough throw pillows on chairs, sofas, beds, etc. Maybe you could try something like that. Also, if you like to read, check your local library for any book clubs and maybe join one. Hopefully, you'll find something soon. I'm still in denial about going back to work next week. I don't know how teachers do it having 20+ kids with them at all times. If I didn't have to work, I certainly wouldn't do it. I'd love to volunteer my time helping with this or that. Anyway, enough of my wishful thinking.
