Vinnie has learned that if mom leaves a beer unattended on the table, it is his! Anyone else have a problem with this? Not sure why he started doing this. Maybe he was just curious one day and thought it would be fun to tip one over and check the contents. Geez, gotta keep the booze away from the skin kids and now the fur kids too!

Tucker's Mom

Super Boxer
My furbaby is a wino. He got into a glass when he was about 4 months old, and now he almost knocks me over to get my glass away from me. So, I don't bring wine into the house anymore. I go for champagne. Apparently Tuck doesn't like the bubbles.

Yes, Duke also loves beer. One time he knocked a beer out of a guests hand! I couldnt' believe it. He takes after his mom too!

I also can't put ice in water or any drink because he will try to take the cubes out and will sit there and stare at it until I give them to him. That drives me crazy.

That's hilarious! Boxers are so comical!

Ozzie had his first experience with an empty plastic brandy bottle over the weekend. Any empty plastic bottle rarely gets away from him; even if we put it in the plastic recycle container he stills find it...

On Saturday, he got ahold of the brandy bottle and there was just a little, tiny bit of brandy left. I went outside to find him licking it! There was just a couple of drops left, but it was enough to keep him occupied for a while....then he started demolishing the bottle like all the others.

Just when you think you've seen it all!!

Hogan loves beer too. My husband spilled some beer in the cup holder of the tailgate of his truck one time. Hogan smelled it and he was about six months old at the time, so not very big yet. He jumped right up onto the tailgate and lapped up all the beer he could find and then went looking to my husband for more.

He also does the ice cube thing. It was cute at first because we could give them to him for treats, but now it's almost impossible to have your own drink with ice around him. He waits until you take a sip and then gets up in your face because he thinks you will spit an icecube into his mouth for him. DH got him into that habbit! If you don't, WOOOOOOOO RUF!

Hi, I have in the past had 2 boxers, Mitzi (brindle) and Tanya (Red) sadly both gone now, anyway my parents ran a social club, and both of my girls new that when the members had all gone ( they listened for when it went quiet) we would let them into the bar to have their nightly 'tipple' of beer from the drip trays! They also had to have with their beer a bag of crisps, (chips?) they new where to find their favourite flavour. Woe betide if they were forgotten, Boxers know how to SULK!! Bigtime!

Boozer, YES!!

Jacob will knock over a beer any opportunity that he gets, & then the tongue comes out. It's not just beer for Jacob though. He's spilled wine, coolers, rye & coke etc. Yep, my boy's a lush!!!!
As far as ice cubes, he used to think that they should be for him & he would wait & wait until you gave it to him. Over the last couple of years though, he will vomit if he eats an ice cube, so we had to stop.

I feel like such a bad mommie if they get some of my beer. At least I am not alone in this. Thanks for making me feel like I am not the only mommie that has a Boxer with a beer fettish ;)

Completely Boxer Crazy
It's so funny that this thread was started! Just this passed Saturday we had our monthly card club and it was at our house. Well, one of the guests left her glass of wine sitting on the coffee table and guess what! Yep, Greta helped herself. Didn't knock that glass over or anything. She was sitting on the couch and just stood up and leaned over and started lapping it up. What a clown! At least all guests are dog lovers and got quite a kick out of it.
