Blonde Moment !

Today I drove into town in my OH's Jeep Grand Cherokee which is automatic - I usually drive a manual car.

Anyway, I have an appointment at 10am and the first carpark I went to was full, so I drove to another and found a space. I turned off the engine but couldn't get the key out of the ignition. I was turning it this way and that and it was now 5 mins to 10am! So I tried to turn the engine back on and start again but just got a flashing light on the dash of a key with a cross through it!

I was panicking - I couldn't leave the car and I couldn't drive the car anywhere.

So I rang my OH and he didn't know what I should do. Then he said 'have you left it in gear?' - I looked down and the stick was in Drive not in Park. I moved it to Park and lo and behold I could get the key out!

The funny thing is I was on my way to the hairdresser to have blonde hi-lights put in my hair - truly a blonde moment I think!

I hate it when I do stuff like that :rolleyes: Once, I got into the car and none of the interior lights were working! Luckily, my DH was home, so I ran inside to ask him why they weren't working. He just looked at me (dumbfounded) and told me to turn the switch back on for the lights. There is a little dial in the truck where you can adjust the brightness of the interior lights I'm a redhead, but also have some blonde highlights. Some days......

me too....

as a blonde I too have been subjected to those like the first time I had to turn ON our personnal PC. I never did found the ST>>>> switch my husband had to come home from work ( he is a programer )
To make it worst I was quite good at my computer classes in college it's just that they were never switched off ! Ahem....
