Biggest Boxer?

Izzy is a one year old and she weighs a little over 50 pounds. She is pretty leggy as well. There is another female boxer next door to me and I believe she is probably a little over 60 pounds.

Actually, we didn't know anything about Boxers when we got Apollo. I had no idea how big he would get or anything! (Terrible, Huh?!?) I have a couple of friends who've owned Danes and I know that they suffer from arthritis terribly as they get older and I didn't want to have to go through that. Now that I know about the problems with Boxers and their hips (among numerous things) I've started to fret about that. I constantly worry about him jumping off things and hurting himself, all the little 'pop' sounds that come from his hips, and just about anything that he does!! Tiger and him are my only kids and they are my life!

We also don't have much of a yard (and it's not fenced) so I didn't want to get a big dog. Then we got Apollo and I started researching into Boxers and realized that he would be quite large. Oh-well. We plan on moving sometime and I want a huge yard for the boys! Walks and trips to Grandma's house will just have to do for now!!

Hubby is finally realizing that there won't ever be a time that we will be without a dog (or two) so I still have a good chance of getting that Dane!!!

Lexy's parents were both over 80 pounds, so we thought she'd be a big girl - wrong! She weighs 55 pounds, but could stand to lose about 3. She's a chubster. Bailey was starved for several critical weeks (age 6 weeks to 12 weeks) and I think it affected her growth. She's topped off at 52 pounds - but looks totally different from Lexy. Bailey is thin, but solid. She could stand to gain 3 or 4 pounds - but at least we can't see all her ribs and vertebrae anymore. Grrrrrrr . . . those people . . . :mad:

My vet says, though, that the 50-60 pound range seems to be healthier and have a longer life span. Don't know how true that is . . . :confused:

Is it just me or did that 150 lb boxer look overweight. Poor guy! he's a cutie though.
I also, and this is my own opinion, HATE people who boast about having a "giant boxer" on chat rooms. Oh, my boxer is "giant" he's over 180 lbs.....ok, lets just say FAT! or...not a boxer. Let's not say "giant".....

Hershey is around 2 (to the best of our knowledge) and just weighed in at a little under 73 lbs.

Biggest boxer??

Hello, all!
I just had Maggie at my parents house and my mom said Maggie looked fat. I was offended and said she is not fat, its just that her chest is getting bigger. My mom looked again and agreed that our eleven month old darling is getting thicker.
We think she weighs about 65 lbs. She will be one on July 3rd. It sounds like she is in a normal weight range.
When we see other boxers she still looks small to me, but once she fills out I think she will look more like them.
I do hope she gets a little taller. Either way she is gorgeous and I cannot wait to get another one!!

Rowdy weighs 73 lbs at 16 months. I've only seen one boxer as tall as Rowdy. That was Barron and he weighs 87 lbs. Rowdy will fill out a little more, but I don't think he will be much over 80. He has only gained 4 lbs in the last 4-5 months. We run a little bit and he has a big yard to play in so he is very lean.

Kaiser Lola and I know a boxer named Rocky from the Dog Park that is about ninety pounds.
