Hi,
I am getting my boy Murphy on the 25th August at 8 weeks old.
Just wondering what essentials i should get before he arrives.

Thanks

Welcome to the Board Biskitt.
One of the most essential items in my mind is a crate, but make sure you get it big enough. When we first got one we got a medium size, luckily we got it from a small pet store that we always went to, we had to exchange it for a large size after a couple of months, as we could see that it wouldn't be big enough. You can always make it smaller by putting something inside, but never bigger!

Chew toys, lots and lots of them!!! :D And I agree on crate size, we bought a small one too, then upgraded to a large. While Hammer is midsize we simply put the small crate inside the large one to limit his area.

Welcome!! I'm new hear too, but I am finding a LOT of helpful information here!

Welcome, Biskitt! Congrats on your new baby-to-be! I know you must be very excited...You'll have to take lots of pictures and post there on Boxerworld. ;)

Oh, I was going to tell you to get a crate, but Helene beat me to it. That was the best purchase we made when we got Duchess. They are wonderful! Make sure you have plenty of chew toys too.

By the way, I would love to visit Scotland! :)

Rolls and rolls of paper towels. Spot remover for carpets. Jingle bells for the door. A good sense of humor. And a mantra to get you through the rough moments. Mine was "This too shall pass".
And a camera, because you will want to take pictures of everything Murphy does - whether he's sleeping or awake.
Congratulations and good luck!partyicon
