Boxer Pal
Wow! I thought I was the only one who planned their life around the "kids." I have a 9 month boxer boy, I rescued, and an 18 month boxer/bulldog mix girl. I get a lot of flack from people, who tend to think I'm too attached to them. I've always been this way, even with other dog breeds I've had.
We go home to Pa. every Christmas, from SC. and this year I decided to board them at our vets, because not everyone in Pa. is as thrilled with our kids as we are. (They do get rambunctious!) Well, let me tell you, I was so down in the dumps, missing them, and worrying about them, I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep. My husband was as bad as I was.
I called the vet's and was assured they were fine, and actually they were. When we picked them up they were so happy, and they seemed healthy and wild as ever.
I'd kind of like to go out to dinner tonight - but, they were alone for a good part of the day - so, guess what? We're ordering in Chinese!

I really felt bad leaving him for so long (just over 11 hours), but then again, he's been in his crate this long several times since 11 Sep, and I still get plenty of kidney beans when I come home later than usual. :D
