Bed Wetting HELP!!

My 6 month old pup keeps wetting the bed, however it is only at night times. As it started to happen more frequently i decided to get up during the night and let him out for a pee, although this makes no difference and it now happens every night without fail.

He also has loose poo and been off his food for a week or so. Have taken him to the vets who told me it was probbly a stomach infection and put him on anti-biotics and told me to feed him rice and Chicken for a week. This has made no difference at all, so i took him back and they have now taken a poop sample.

Has anyone experianced the same, it is the bed wetting which worries me!

How often are you taking him out at night? My pup had a urinary track infection which made him pee all of the time everywhere. He just could not hold it. But the loose poop could also be a sign of an intestinal? parasite. If that is the case be carefully if you have small children, because it could be passed to them.
My suggestion is to just make sure he stays hydrated!

I let him out about 11pm before i go to bed and wake him up about 2am to go out. he never wakes up durring the night just lays in his pee untill the morning as if he doesnt even know he has done it!

He is not drinking at all and i have now started to add water to the rice i have been feeding him so i know he is getting water some how. really worried about my little boy, but i guess the vets know best and they dont seem to worried. Maybe i am just an over protective mum hey! I htought it may be an infection but as they gave him anti-biotics to clear up his stomache i thought that to would clear up any other infection.

Wetting the bed like that can be a sign of kidney problems, though that wouldn't be common with a pup that young.

Is he neutered? It's not common with males, but occassionally there can be some incontinence problems post-neutering. A teaspoon or so of chopped parsley added to his food each day may help (no idea why it helps, but it often does).

No he is not neutered, vets have said I must wait a couple more months to see if his other testicle drops as he only has one at the mo, bless him.

Will give the Parsley a go, am open to all suggestions, even thought of pampers!!!!

I'm not sure what kind of vet thinks that a six month old puppy's testicle is still going to drop!

Kassa has a good point there - testicles normally drop (migrate from abdomen to scrotum) by about 10 days old. If they're not there by 8 weeks, it is most likely the dog is going to be cryptorchid. Since neutering a cryptorchid dog is an invasive surgery (they have to hunt around the abdomen to find the missing testicle), it is worth waiting until the pup is 4 months old - just in case. But beyond that, there is really no chance at all of the testicles dropping - the opening to the canal in which they migrate has closed. Your vet should know that.

Since undescended testicles have a high chance of turning cancerous, it is important to get him neutered. 6 months is an ideal time, and with an undescended testicle, IMO you shouldn't wait too much longer.
