Bathing a puppy

Boxer Pal
I must be very lucky. Deuce loves playing in the sprinkler. I wouldn't let him do it, but he sits perfectly still when I towel him off. He jumps up on the picnic table and sits pretty while I dry him. I only let him do this once or twice a week, because he will drink the sprinkler water until he gets sick. He won't get in the shower but loves the sprinkler and rain.

I had orphan puppies and had to give them several
baths a day until they went to their new homes
(no mom to lick them clean/dry).

It's true that you don't want to bathe so excessively
that you strip the oils from the coat, but if you have
a dirty dog, a bath is probably healthier than letting
him walk around stinky :)

I also agree about the baby wipes on the little
ones. And you don't need fancy shampoo -- a teensy
bit of woolite will do just fine (very small amount).

They are fine washables, after all :)
