Poor Murray! I'm also guilty of the occasional "going for a walk" trick with Daisy in certain circumstances!

We used to have one of my older kids give Socks a bath in our shower that had a hand-held nozzle. All she needed to see was one of the boys in a bathing suit and she would tuck her little nubbie tail as far down between her legs as it would reach and slink away. We had to come up with all kinds of tricks to get her upstairs. grin2icon

Diamond didn't like her baths at first but now she seems to really enjoy them. She just sits there while I soap and rinse her and as soon as I'm done she jumps out of the tub and waits for me to dry her off. She also does the boxer burn and gets pretty crazy afterwards, I thought it was just her!!

When I take a shower I have to keep one foot on the side of the tub for Reilly and Mabel to lick, otherwise they will get in the tub with me. Most of the time Reilly will stand with his two front feet in the shower getting drenched while I shower. And if I have my eyes closed to shampoo my hair, he will jump all the way in the shower. When I'm finished I have to get out even before I have dried off, because those two will jump in to lick the walls, tub, and drain. They are both obsessed with the tub, and jump in it whenever the bathroom door is open. Here is the irony of the story...because of the mud in the yard I have had to put them in the tub to clean their feet. The way they carried on you would think I. Was. Torturing. Them. They barked at me, and whined, and tried to jump out the whole time. This wasn't even a complete bath... I only rinsed their feet. I ended up with mud on every surface of my bathroom, including myself. So what happens? I take a shower, and those two are trying everything they can to get in the tub.

Great idea! I am going to try the shower. I never thought about that. Samson loves to play in the hose. Maybe he will enjoy the shower.

Here's a little trick I thought I'd share...

Rock HATES the tub...well he used to like it but one day the shower decided to give way and that little knob you push to make the shower come on...well it shot right out of the wall like a bullet and whacked him between the eyes...he panics, slips and cracks his heiny on the tub floor. Oh Lord forgive me but it was tooo funny!!

Now to get him in the tub I have to put a beach towel in the bottom. I wet it and that way he can stand on it and not slip around...it's easier than one of those no-slip mats because as soon as we're done I can toss it in the wash.

Brutus Never really liked getting baths but during the fall when it was getting muddy outside he started getting daily foot baths. That seemed to make a difference in his bath tub tolerance. Now I have to Shower with one eye open or I have company.

The best was when I started the shower and then walked out of the bathroom to get something. Well, I got side tracked and 10 minutes later walk back into the bathroom and pull back the curtain to step in and what do I find......
A wet boxer sitting under the shower spray, licking the water and waggin his nub. If I could have stopped laughing long enough to get my camera I could have won awards.

Maybe a shower loving dog is not always a good thing!;)
