My 9 week old puppy is very playful on a back yard. If i want to walk with him around the block he walks a few yards and stops. Looks like he is afraid of something ?!?! What should i do?

Perfectly normal - he's young and the world is a little overwhelming for him right now. Continue to walk him a little each day and he'll soon look forward to the walks ~ Cathy

Thanks Cathy.

Today i tried to carry him in my hands and walk back home. He still looks scared a little.

I agree w/ Cathy. He's so young and probably hasn't been exposed to much. I'd be careful about walking him outside of the house (especially if he can get into contact w/ other dogs or their waste) until he's had at least 2 sets of shots.

At 9 weeks he's bound to find the big wide world a little overwhelming. Don't worry too much - just keep encouraging him with an upbeat, confident tone :)
Carrying him is fine too - pups don't need exercise (they should get all they need solely from playing) but socialisation and exposure to a wide variety of experiences is great. As mentioned, be careful about exposure to other dogs (unless you know they're up to date on shots) and places other dogs frequent until he's had at least two rounds of vaccinations.

At www.boxerworld.com/puppy you'll find a number of useful articles on what you should be doing with your young pup at this age. http://www.boxerworld.com/puppy/socialisation/ may be especially useful :)

If only i had this problem - my two 5 month old males love to get out and cause problems all over the show :)

There are some earlier threads on here about not exercising your young dog too much because it can damage their joint development. And "too much" is surprisingly little. So you might want to take it easy on the walking on a leash for a while. But carrying your puppy and letting him meet new people and see new things is a good way to socialize him.

A lady in my neighborhood has actually taken her "foo-foo" dogs out in a wagon. No offense to any foo-foo owners :D

I suppose if your babe would get in and stay in the wagon a trip around the block wouldn't wear him out and he might enjoy all the new sights!
