Bark In The Park, Sept 18th 2004 - San Jose, CA

I got a postcard today for this. We've gone before and it's pretty fun! Maybe we'll see some of you there. It gets pretty crowded, so finding parking can be hard, but please try to bring your babies. There's lots of vendors & new stuff to see. I love seeing the K-9 Police Dogs... their demos are so neat.

i'll try to be there... i really want to see the SJPD Canine Unit but to bad they won't perform until around 2 something... im working that night so i if ever i go then i'll have to go around 10- 12...

hey antjan and layla'smom im just wondering if you made it at the bark in the park bash... anyway i was there and met couple of boxers... Nitro had fun but unfortunately we only stayed there until 12:30...

We didn't make it. :( We thought of trying to go towards the afternoon, but unfortunately we didn't.

Glad Nitro had fun though! Nice you were able to meet some other boxer people. I wonder if you met the same ones we did the last we were there. Sorry we didn't make it. If we lived closer, I'm sure we would've gone. Hopefully we'll meet up next time!

The park question

Hi,

We are from Fresno but travel to SJ a lot to see family....what exactly is bark in the park....will there be a lot of other boxer's for our baby to play with? Just looking for some more info....thanks

Just thought I would make sure everyone saw that this post was for last year, so the date of the event is not the same for this year. It is actually on the 17th of September this year, but the link given by Janet in the first post of this thread is still valid, so all info about the Bark in the Park can be found by using that link. I went last year and there were a fair amount of boxers there. It's not like it's a boxer bash though, so of course that is not the focus. There are tons of dogs there of all breeds. And dogs have to stay on leash, so I don't know how much "playing" they will be able to do with eachother. But it's a fun event nonetheless!

San Jose is about an hour away from where I live. Since my brother lives in San Jose, I would have to stop and visit him if I drive to the bark park. I'm pretty sure that we'll be there. Is anyone else going to this event? Let me know, it would be nice to meet other boxerworld people there!
