I guess a dental cleaning is in the future.Bad breath and gums bleeding have started up. Lily got one 2.5 years ago, she was fine for awhile. We were told she has gum disease. She never cooperates for a tooth brushing. I do a dental spray once a day though. She is 7 now, her first dental she was 5. It is not the cost of the procedure it is the thought of putting under anesthesia. I just noticed this past week her gums sometimes bleed. I do not allow hard bones anymore, this aggravates the problem. I look in her mouth, although tartar and plaque on some teeth not all, like last time, I can't see it all, more like a peek. I will mention it for her yearly checkup in September. Anyone else boxer have a bad teeth and gums? What else can I do? I am adding fresh parsley in her diet, sometimes a apple, just peeled pieces, maybe that should be a daily habit. Any tips to add? Just no to bones.
