Bad behavior or health issue?

Hello Everyone,
It's been quite a while since I've visited the site but I'm at my wits end with my baby girl Abby. Abby is 2.3 years old and attended and passed AKC training, house trained w/few problems, and never had any chewing issues. On Abby's 2nd birthday I bought her a big-girl bed and put her kennel in the basement. Not long after that she was given the run of the house while I was at work. Things were fine until the end of July/beginning of August when she chewed a sandel, then some computer parts, and then the TV remote. All of these things had never been an issue before. Then about 3 weeks ago she peed on the couch cushion so I brought her kennel back upstairs and confined her to her "area", which is a hallway plus her kennel. She has been doing fine. Until yesterday. I got home from work, right on time, and she had peed on the floor. I took a sample to the vet to check for UTI this morning but I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the change in behavior. Our routine hasn't changed and it seems to be Wednesdays that she has problems on. Any thoughts? I'm worried :(

How long is she in the house without a potty break? Maybe cutting back on her water intake in the morning would help (Depending on what the vet finds out). Also do you leave a radio or T.V. on for her? She might be chewing things because she is bored. Darby had a few issues when she was younger but as soon as I started leaving the T.V. or radio on she stopped... Just a thought.

Vet treating for UTI

Abby is in the house from 7:30am until about 4:30 or 5pm, which has been her routine since we've had her. I do leave a radio on for her.

I did here back from the vet and they are going to treat for a UTI since her symptoms resemble that. Does anyone know how often a female can get a UTI and/or what causes them?

Our Abbi kinda did the same thing too. She was FINE when left out of her crate and had gotten up to the same amount of time as your Abby, and then one day she just went crazy: I came home to a scarf, shawl, book, and toasting flutes for our upcoming wedding chewed and broken. So back in the crate she went. It seems like she gets panicked or something when she's out because we would leave treats for her and she wouldn't touch them. When normally, she'd gobble them up as soon as they hit the floor. Since then, I've tried to confine her just to the bedroom and the hallway, separating her from everything else with a baby gate, and I was greeted to a wigglebutt at the front door when I got home. She jumped the gate... Again, back in the crate. She seems to feel most comfy there now and doesn't hate it by any means. And because she is left in there for so long during the day, we make sure to give her lots of play time in the evenings.

As for the UTI's, our first vet (we no longer go to him because I think he's a little kooky) said that she was getting a lot of bacteria in her little girly parts so she was getting frequent infections. Could have been because she's a mud lover and lays in it whenever she gets a chance!

I have wanted to give Edgar total roam of the house. He is 2 and 1/2 but this is my issue. Just what happens when he goes bonkers and tears stuff. He has chewed up only a few things up to now. I am afraid he will go bonkers and think the couch cushions are giant stuffed animals like happened last year when I tried total roam. During the day, he stays in the kitchen, no problems. At night he sleeps in his bed in the living room.

Ahhh the teenage years..they can be trying. My guys all had relapses around 2 years of age, almost as if they were becoming rebellious. As far as giving them the run of the house after a lot of test runs, they weren't able to handle it until they were about 5 years old. Even now at 9 Avery will still chew the toilet paper if we leave it within her reach.
