It was a long and exhausting day at Auburn's small animal clinic. We went looking for a real diagnosis of Autry's problems and got only bad news. Autry has a brain tumor. It just hurts to know our boy has a very limited time with us. Surgery and chemo are the only real options for treatment, and the results with this type of tumor are not very good. We have decided to forgo the surgery and make Autry's remaining time with us the best and most comfortable it can be.
Autry has lost a lot in a very short time. He is weakened in both limbs on the left side. He is no longer the goofy, happy boy he was just a few weeks ago. He can still wag the nubbie, but that is not often now. Still enjoys the smells on his short walks and looks forward to meals and snacks. This just hurts like hell.
Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers. We still need them.
